Peddle Powered Film Festival CERES Global and The Otesha Project (Aus): Cycling for Sustainability are joining forces to bring you an evening of inspirational films (powered by YOU), food, drinks, and other very fun activities all in the name of raising funds for two projects whose common mission is to  educate and act towards a sustainable and equitable world. Some come out and help support our projects! Future Spark are generously donating their time and their super bikes to power a host of films carefully picked out for their messages about how grassroots actions can create sustainable change in communities throughout the world. So rally up your friends, challenge your mate to a ride off Future Spark style, delight is some delectable dishes, limber up and test your Twister skills, and be inspired by stories of courage and committed action 'to be the change you wish to see in the world!' 2011 Capital City Tour: Apply Now! Do you know someone who would want to take their message to parliament? How about by bicycle while educating youth along the way? Having already received amazing applications in our office we have extended our application deadline to January 23, 2011. So if you or someone you know wants to join a tour apply while there's still time. And if you have an extra minute please send this onto others who might be interested.

Tour Coordinators Update Our Terrific Tour Coordinators Michael, Emily and Nyssa are doing a fabulous job organising the 2011 Capital City Tour from Melbourne to Canberra. Working out of the Otesha office they have been bringing new energy, skills, and efforts into our organisation. The route is set, contacts made, and the coordinators are currently interviewing potential crew tour members.What would be do without these amazing coordinators? Strategic Planning Weekend: Vanessa's Reflections On Friday November 19th, the Otesha management committee travelled from near and far to meet at Kate's house for our weekend of strategic planning for Otesha for the next five years. As a relatively new Otesha person it was wonderful to meet other Otesha peeps who I'd been skyping and emailing over the last few months. The weekend started officially Saturday morning at CERES and over the next two days we bonded over  common visions for the future of Otesha and the world. Using consensus decision making and a host of interactive and innovative workshop sessions we created some solid objectives and plans for Otesha. We certainly have some amazingly committed and inspiring people in Otesha land and I'm looking forward to putting our plans into action! So stay tuned for the final outcome in the new year.
